Let Them- My six month mind shift

For the last six months, I’ve been quietly working on something that has changed me more than I expected: actually living out the Let Them mindset from Mel Robbins’ book.
Not just reading it.
Not just underlining the good parts.
But practicing it in real time — in motherhood, friendships, work, and even in the tiny everyday moments that used to drain me.
And here’s what I’ve learned:
When you let people be who they are, you stop carrying the weight of who you wish they would be.
When you let situations unfold, you stop fighting battles that were never yours to manage.
When you let go, you make room for peace.
And peace… has finally started to settle in.
I didn’t realize how much of my exhaustion came from trying to control outcomes, fix everything, or hold myself responsible for everyone’s emotions. Six months of practicing “let them” has softened me. It’s slowed me down. It’s helped me breathe again.
I’m still a work in progress — a worn‑thin mom with a full heart and a full schedule — but I’m learning that peace doesn’t come from doing more. It comes from releasing what was never mine to hold.
If you’re in a season where you feel stretched, overwhelmed, or pulled in every direction, maybe this is your reminder:
Let them.
Let go.
Let God.
And watch what peace finds its way back to you.
